About Broken Record Studios
See pics here!
Broken Record Studios is Brian’s home studio. Originally located in Waldorf, Maryland a few miles from Washington DC (1999=2013). After a move to Florida, BRS resided in the Tampa area (2014-2021) and now a new location just outside of Asheville, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Brian recorded 5 albums of original music as well as the Night Flight band album (!!ARRIVAL!!) and an album of cover tunes (Under the Covers). All of these albums can be heard and downloaded from the home page.
Through these doors many illustrious musicians have contributed their time and talents, including Ron Holloway (Little Feat, Allman Bros), Scott Smith (Naked Blue), Steve Wolf (Danny Gatton, Swingspeak), Eric Scott (Deanna Bogart, solo), Chuck Lange, Kevin Scott (Night Flight, studio engineer), Gene Ford (Nashville Mandolin Trio, Nashville session player). Florida denizens included Bob Blair (Night Flight), Ernie White, David Dusylovitch (Tampa theatre and Heartstrings), singers Ellie Carr, Katie Beall, and Cindy West, among others.
See many of these special talents in our studio photo archive here!
Thanks to all these fabulous musicians for their contributions, beautiful people all. At BRS we are looking forward to making a lot more musical noise and to go down gamblin’! While in Hendersonville, on the outskirts of Asheville, Brian has recorded with Al and Jean Geriatric Jukebox and jazz guitarist extraordinaire Dan Keller. Stay tuned in “Studio Happenings Now” and “What’s New” header to hear the results of these exciting sessions.
